FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything You're Wondering, Answered
We know booking a retreat is a big decision. Here are answers to the questions we hear most, so you can feel confident before you join us.
Why Tuscany
A Place That Already Knows How to Slow Down
Tuscany doesn’t need to be taught how to rest. Meals stretch for hours. Afternoons are meant for shade and conversation. The hills, the olive groves, the golden light — none of it is in a hurry, and neither will you be.
This isn’t a backdrop. It’s part of the medicine. When the pace of a place changes, something in you changes with it.
Is it safe to travel alone as a woman?
Yes. Many of our guests arrive solo, and it’s one of the most common reasons women choose this retreat — to feel supported and connected from the moment they land. Tuscany is a well-traveled, welcoming region, and our small group setting means you’ll meet the other women in your retreat quickly, often before you’ve even reached the farmhouse. You’re never navigating this alone.
What fitness level do I need?
None at all. Every movement session — yoga, walks, breathwork — is gentle and entirely optional. This retreat is built around rest, not performance. Whether you’re very active or prefer to simply relax by the pool while others join a session, you’re welcome exactly as you are.
What should I pack?
Comfortable, breathable clothing for warm days and cooler evenings, a swimsuit for the pool, comfortable walking shoes for gentle countryside walks, and layers for the evenings. A more detailed packing list is sent to you once you book, tailored to the season of your retreat.
Do I need to bring a yoga mat or props?
No, mats and props are provided. Bring your own only if you have a strong personal preference.
What if I've never done yoga or meditation before?
You don’t need any experience. Every session is gentle, modified for different levels, and entirely optional — many of our guests arrive without a regular practice, or without ever having stepped on a mat at all.
Can I book extra days or experiences?
Yes. If you’d like to extend your stay before or after the retreat, or add on an extra experience — such as an additional day trip, beauty treatment, or private 1:1 coaching session — we offer and can organise this for you, for an additional fee, subject to availability. Just let us know when you book, or mention it during your FaceTime call, and we’ll take care of the details.
Will I know anyone else there?
Most guests arrive solo, and that shared starting point is often what makes connection happen faster, not slower. Combined with your pre-retreat group video call, you’ll likely feel like you already know a few faces before you even land in Tuscany.
What happens after I book?
Once you enquire, we’ll set up a short FaceTime call — a chance for us to get to know each other, talk through what you’re looking for, and answer any questions before you commit. Closer to your retreat date, we host an optional (but warmly encouraged) group Zoom call so you can meet the other women joining you, before you ever set foot in Tuscany.
What's the food like / can you accommodate dietary needs?
Meals are made with local, seasonal Tuscan ingredients, shared together as part of the retreat experience. We’re happy to accommodate most dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. For more serious requirements — such as coeliac disease or significant food allergies — please get in touch before booking so we can talk through whether we’re able to safely accommodate your needs.
Do I need a visa / what travel documents do I need?
Most nationalities (UK, EU, US, Canada, Australia) don’t need a visa for short stays in Italy — just a valid passport — but please check your specific requirements with your local Italian consulate before booking.
What's not included in the price?
Flights, Travel Insurance, any extra, meals, drinks, experiences, activities other than those advertised.
What is your cancellation policy?
A €500 non-refundable deposit secures your place. The remaining balance can be paid in two instalments, due in full 3 months before your arrival date.
If you need to cancel: Cancellations made 60+ days before your retreat receive a full refund of any balance paid, excluding the deposit. Cancellations made 30–59 days before receive a 50% refund of the balance. Cancellations made less than 30 days before are non-refundable. In all cases, your €500 deposit can be transferred to a future retreat date within 12 months, rather than forfeited, if you let us know before your original retreat date.
If we need to cancel: In the rare case we must cancel a retreat (for example, due to insufficient bookings or unforeseen circumstances), you’ll receive a full refund, including your deposit.
What if I have an early flight on the day of departure?
No problem — just let us know your flight time in advance. We can organise a private drop-off for you at a cost of €80, to make sure you get to the airport with plenty of time. Just mention it during your 1:1 call before the retreat, or reach out beforehand, and we'll sort it.
